WPNT is the Points flagship radio station that broadcasts a 100 milliwatt signal throughout the Hunts Point community. The program offers basic training in broadcasting and the opportunity to become on air personalities, producers, and engineers to residents of the South Bronx. Participants engage in weekly one hour shows in various allotted time slots. Show topics vary from music to sports and talk. Each participant is responsible for handing in a brief description of their show, its content, and a weekly playlist. They also receive a list of the stations rules and regulations.
The program is open to all children in the Points After School program as well as teens, and community members. The hours of operation are from 3pm to 8pm. Monday through Friday. Registration takes place twice a year (September and February) and each show runs for a period of fives months (September through February, and February through June). This season selected shows will be recorded and uploaded to our website. For more information contact Craig Tindal at (718)542-4139 or craigwho2000@yahoo.com

Radio Workshops
WPNT is available for radio workshops and projects with schools and other community organizations in the NYC area. In the past we have hosted and participated in a number of different projects. For a nominal fee we allow participants to learn how radio works, then teach them to use the equipment and hone their broadcasting skills. The average workshop consists of four classes (1 per week) over a one month period depending on the number of students. In the end the students write, produce and broadcast their own show live on the air and receive a copy of their experience on CD or cassette. For more information on workshops and classes call Craig Tindal (718)542-4139X31 or email craigwho2000@yahoo.com
