Since its first issue in 1999 Hunts Point Alive! has become a dynamic publication, with an ever- growing readership. HPA has evolved through several years of edit, design, and coverage to reach its current standing as a community platform for discussion and information. With Alejandra Delfin as layout and design manager, the newspaper aims to include community perspectives on important social, political, and economic issues, while also showcasing artist and their work. we strive for a voice that echoes the concerns and experiences of our people.
The newspaper has a wide base of contributing writers and photographers, from students in the After School Program and the youth activist group ACTION, to THE POINT staff and guest writers.
