BRONXGEAR

BronxGear is a twelve-year-old company run by Carey Clark and students from the Hunts Point neighborhood in the South Bronx. We are artists and designers: we make silk scarves, T-shirts, posters, theater costume and sets, amd CD covers. We are also marketeers: at street fairs, events at The POINT, and professional offices. Student artists receive 25% of the profits on works sold. We have opportunities for business training and stipends amd are currently completing the decoration of the new pediatrics ward at the Brooklyn Hospital, with ten silk hangings and 50 feet of photo-murals. Our work has been on display at The Museum of American Folk Art, we have designed T-shirts and posters for theaters in Poland and two L.A. high-school soccer teams, and our scarves are worn in Paris and Prague.
